Chain Bridge Group Managing Partner Raym Crow has over 25 years' experience in academic publishing and library information services, specializing in strategic business planning, information service development, and market management.
Crow has helped publishers—large and small, nonprofit and commercial—plan and implement digital information services, extend the reach and revenue potential of existing products, and open new markets. His educational background includes a B.A. from Whittier College and an M.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Diane Smith, Senior Consultant
Diane Smith has over 35 years in the library and information industry, working both as an academic librarian and, most recently, as a VP for product development at LexisNexis and ProQuest. She has a solid understanding of the library market and a proven track record in product development, market research, competitive analysis, and market segmentation. Her product development experience includes work on general reference services, legal, and government information based products.
Smith's educational background includes a BA from Mary Washington College, an MLS from the University of North Carolina, and an MBA from Penn State University.
Rebecca Simon, Senior Consultant
Rebecca Simon has over 25 years’ experience in academic and professional publishing, having served as an acquisitions editor, marketing director, and most recently, as Associate Director of University of California Press, where she directed the Journals and Digital Publishing Division. She has an in-depth understanding of scholarly publishing, particularly in the university press, scholarly society, and library information segments.
Simon brings experience in editorial acquisitions, print and digital product development, strategic publishing partnerships and portfolio management, and publishing program cost reduction and profit optimization. Her educational background includes a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Stuart Abramowitz, Contributing Consultant
Stuart Abramowitz has over 25 years of accounting and finance experience with publishers serving the academic library market. For Chain Bridge Group, he supports accounting and financial analyses.
Abramowitz has a BS in Business, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland University College.
